VFM Release Notes as of April 10, 2018
Posted April 10, 2018 by Katelyn Sabatini, President
At VFM, our team is always working hard to improve and enhance our system to help make your lives a little easier. Here’s a peek behind the screen and a recap of what the team has been working on lately!
Notification Emails
You may have noticed that you are now receiving notification emails when a user adds you to or removes you from a calendar activity and when you are assigned or unassigned a task. We implemented these notifications to continue to help keep you on top of your upcoming meetings and to-dos.
With this new implementation, you will be immediately notified via email any time that a user adds/removes an activity to your calendar or assigns/removes a task from your to-dos. This new feature will help to ensure that you never miss an important meeting or task again.
Take a look at what the Notification Emails will look like:
Business Profile
We know how important your contacts are to you. In order to accommodate an even wider variety of contacts, we’ve added a specific Business Contact profile. We designed the profile in a way that helps you keep track of and manage the unique details of a business – whether your business contacts are your clients, prospects or general contacts.
We’ve also made it super easy to assign a Primary Point-of-Contact to any business, as well as other key contacts and employees of the company that you keep in touch with.
Calendar Updates
With the new updates to the VFM Calendar, you can simply drag the selected activity to increase or decrease the time allotted. You no longer need to click into the activity popup to make these changes, you can do it right on the calendar. Take a look at this update in action:

In addition, we have also implemented a red-line that will appear so you can quickly know exactly where you’re at within the day.
New Integrations
VFM has officially integrated with MailChimp to allow you to easily sync your lists in VFM to your lists in MailChimp. This sync means any changes you make to your lists in VFM, such as adding or removing contacts or updating an email address, will automatically update your MailChimp list as well. Really easy, and half the list updating work!
To start, choose the VFM list that you would like to sync to a MailChimp list. Then, go into your List Setup and click the Connect with MailChimp button.
This will pop-up and you will enter your MailChimp credentials and click Login:
From there, you’ll notice that your account has been connected. You can then select your MailChimp list from the drop-down menu as shown below:
After you have selected your list, just wait a moment, and voila! Your lists are now synced within the system.
As always, we truly appreciate your feedback. The reason we do this every day is to help financial advisors to manage and grow their businesses. It is because of your support that we are able to continually improve our system and delight our users.
Any feedback you have, please let us know at support@vfmteam.com.
Cheers!
