Senior Web Developer

STATUS:  One Position OPEN as of 2/7/2020

Vision Financial Marketing is looking for a full-time Senior level PHP / MySQL web developer with a proven record of developing complex web programming projects.

This position will do back-end database development and design implementation programming with extensive backend manager area and database programming of the VFM web software system. This position will manage multiple projects from creation post-design, to implementation and review, and work to ensure their is effective and efficient code. This position will work as a key team member that provides a broad range of organizational support to oversee our high level web development projects. The successful candidate for this role will able to demonstrate a track record of related experience.

Required Skills/ Experience:

• Very high proficiency in PHP and MySQL. Strong experience with the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack
• Demonstrated strong experience working with JavaScript and advanced CSS
• Must be strong and comfortable with PHP & JS custom programming ( Not reliant on framework systems such as Bootstrap, Cake, etc) and be able to read and write code from scratch
• Ability to build complex backend infrastructure modules for our CRM and marketing systems
• Demonstrated ability to work with third-party API integrations
• Ability to quickly familiarize and troubleshoot existing PHP and Javascript code
• Ability to develop custom WordPress themes and write custom WordPress plugins a plus
• Woocommerce, Advanced Custom Fields, Gutenberg and advanced WordPress experience helpful
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple advanced projects important
• Experience with server management and command line work a plus

Desired Background:

• Prior experience with E-commerce, and knowledge of Google API’s, HTML 5, and responsive programming is vital
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant area preferred
• Minimum 4 years demonstrated experience in PHP and JavaScript development
